Statement of Personal Responsibility & Accountability

Every woman is responsible for their thoughts, decisions and actions, regardless of if they go unassisted or with a care provider.

The information contained on this website is merely that, information. If you are seeking qualified medical information, this is NOT the place for that. If you are seeking qualified holistic health information, this is NOT the place for that either. If you are seeking information about freebirth and what other women have done and how women handle their free pregnancies and freebirths, then this is one of the many avenues available where you can find such information.

Where We Stand

We are an educated and informed community, committed to providing information concerning self-care during pregnancy and childbirth, as well as providing support for those who wish to continue down this path.

We take no responsibility for what each person chooses to do with this information. We do not make your decisions for you, and nor are we facing the consequences of the decisions you have made regardless of what they are.

Please be responsible and do not base your decisions simply off one website, one doctor, or one resource and take the time to do further research, consulting your natural intuition during the decision-making process.

Everyone is more likely to make the right decision for the situation once they realise that responsibility and accountability are completely theirs in the end.

Everyone has the right to make their own decisions based upon their own research. That research can include, but is not limited to, reading books, medical journals, online articles, talking to others with similar experiences, consulting medical practitioners or alternative/healing practitioners, and consulting the inner wisdom and intuition each person possesses.

Along with the right to make your own decisions, comes the responsibility of making the decisions and accepting and dealing with the consequences whether they be positive or negative or neutral.

People are competent and capable of making their own healthcare and childbearing / childraising decisions and should be encouraged to do so. The allopathic model of medicine encourages us to make no decisions about our health without first consulting a medical doctor, however you have the right to make an informed decision about your own health and wellbeing without first engaging in such a consultation.

Not only is all the information available to medical professionals in the form of textbooks, medical journals etc available to the average person if they choose to avail themselves of such information, there is intuition which also provides people with an important and sound basis for making decisions.

People should be empowered to feel competent to care for themselves and handle all aspects of their lives rather than being made to feel that they must rely upon a "expert" solely for guidance in what to do. It is not the 'expert' who will have to live for the rest of their lives with the consequences. It is you. And with that, I leave you with a quote from Thomas Sowell.

"It is hard to imagine a more stupid or more dangerous way of making decisions than by putting those decisions in the hands of people who pay no price for being wrong." ~ Thomas Sowell
